Happy Thursday! Today we are releasing a write-up from Laurie Pickei, she dives in about her very busy life, and reminds us that happiness is important to strive for in your day to day life. She's very inspiring, I don't know how she juggles everything on her plate- but she DOES, hats off to you Laurie!! Make sure to visit her blog L.Rose for a little bit of everything: fashion, cooking, lifestyle- it's all there!

xoxo.

"Hello lovelies! I’m Laurie, owner and chief creative at the lifestyle blog L. Rose. Like you, I wear many hats: wife and mother, daughter, sister, friend, content creator. But as a 30-something with lots of responsibilities and dreams, the most important relationship is the one I have grown to have with myself.

Married to a cute guy I met at summer camp and now a mommy to a very busy little boy, I took a step back from my fast-paced public relations and marketing career to be a stay-at-home-mom, focusing wholeheartedly on our growing family. A creative brain by nature, I recently took a leap of faith and dipped my toes back into the part-time waters—and now I’m really learning what it means to find balance and beauty within the mess.

While I may be a boy mom, I delight in all things girly, particularly pretty shoes and champagne cocktails. And when I first learned of 2weeksnotice, I was immediately drawn toward their message. No matter what season of life you’re in, the importance of connection, support and inspiration from the women around you is invaluable—and that’s something I strive to celebrate in life and through blogging. We are here to lift each other up, sharing the real, raw, messy and magical, and I love supporting brands that wish to do the same.

This year, my resolution is to push happiness to the top of the list and now five months into 2017, I’m feeling more personally empowered to work, write, reflect and live a happy life of my choosing. What I’ve learned is that the people, experiences, spirituality, hobbies and heart happy activities that we crowd our lives with are wonderful and beautiful in their own right. But in day-to-day life, we often don’t prioritize achieving happiness without it being a direct result of someone or something else.

So I challenge you—today, this week, this month or this year—to push happiness to the top of your list. Do more of what makes your heart happy. Discover your personal passions. Be your truest self. Find the beauty in the mess.

Thanks for reading a little about my journey. I hope you’ll hop over to my blog and say hello! xo
